April RAT Ride Report
What a fantastic RAT ride, the great weather seemed to inspire everyone and the turn out was huge!
We had almost 50 bikes, and that made a very impressive sight as we headed south down the M1, before making a beeline up Springbrook hill. The warm weather and dry road conditions ensured everyone enjoyed the bends up and over the other side.
Noel lead the ride for Rob, as he was unable to join us for this ride, and he thought it was the perfect opportunity to try out the new Triumph Speed Triple R demo...it's fair to say he was very impressed and the tyres vouch for the bikes amazing handling qualities, there are certainly no "chicken Strips" left on them!
Also out for it's first public appearance was the Nuda 900R from Husky, and it certainly made a great impression on all those who rode it....for those that missed out just give us a call to arrange a spin.
The twisty Roads we are blessed with are the perfect environment for the Nuda, I certainly had a case of Nuda envy!
We continued up past Natural Bridge to Chillingham then headed out on Zara Road to invade Tyalgum, there were bikes lining the main road as far as the eye could see! Luckily we had given Flutterbies Cafe a heads up and they had extra staff on to feed and water us. As usual we had great service and food and a long leisurely breakfast. It was great to catch up with everyone out there and to get to know the Ducati riders that had joined us for the ride.
We must congratulate everyone on the ride, as the corner markers all did a fantastic job when called upon and the ride was smooth and seamless as a result...well done all!
The route back took us took us south of Murwillumbah, and loped south of the river through some great little roads, some of which were showing some wear and tear from the recent flooding. despite the patchwork surface we all made it through without incident. It is always nice to cover new roads and enjoy some new sights.
After a regroup and refuel it was back over Tomewin Road to Currumbin before dispersing to all points of the compass home!
Thanks to all those who have called or emailed us to say how much they enjoyed the ride.
Do remember that the RAT rides are for the customers and your friends, so if you ever have any ideas or suggestions as to destinations or routes we are always delighted to hear them.

March RAT Ride Report
Sunday 4th March followed a cool wet week of local rain and flooding, but a few brave souls ventured out to what turned out to be a great ride. Rob lead the small band of twelve from Nerang to the cane fields of Ormeau and around the side of Mount Tamborine, through Tamborine Village and out to Canungra where we stopped for an enjoyable bite to eat at the Outpost.
As we ate, it rained for the first time during the ride, just as we went to leave, the rained stopped and the skies cleared as we set off for our second part of our journey which led us into the hills of Upper Beechmont. The roads were in surprisingly good shape, with only a few potholes and the occasional wet patch on the road; but the views, the crisp fresh air, the mist in the hills and the rising steam which came up off the road as we made our way into the majestic treetops of Upper Beechmont, had me thinking “what a fantastic time to ride”.
Rob did a fantastic job of keeping the small band of bikes in a tight knit group as we made our way through the twisting roads back down the hills to Lower Beechmont where we stopped, stretched our legs, and said our final farewells and everybody made their own way home from there.

February RAT Ride Report
Finally a sunny Sunday! It was great to see lots of new faces on the ride and to catch up with old friends. Everyone had a great ride, with ideal weather and great road conditions, it was one of those days were every went perfectly, and a big thank you must be passed on to all the riders for their corner marking efforts. As a result the ride ran like clock work and nobody got mislaid!
Special mention must be made to Rob, who as usual planned and led the ride, and to Ian on his Street Triple who was a great help in making sure nobody towards the back of the ride went astray.
The first leg of the run was out to Boonah, and it seemed as though every bike in south east Queensland was on the road. After a leisurely brunch at Flavours Cafe, we headed south round to Rathdowney, a piece of road that is high on everyone's favourite list, the recent resealing has made it even better, then on through horse country to
Kerry and out to Beaudesert. This piece of tarmac is always an enjoyable ride with ever changing views and fun twisting roads.
After weeks of wet weather the ride was the perfect antidote! Details for the next ride can be found here
